The following documents will help facilitate the open discussion portion of the meeting. The Community Guidelines are presented first followed by proposed revisions.
Three additions have been incorporated to the proposed revision to the Community Guidelines. One changing the title of section two to “Town of Sandwich and State Rules and Laws” , a second adding a statement about fireworks in the State Rules and Laws section and a third regarding wind direction and proximity to mean high water mark when building a cook fire was added.Community Guidelines
Please be aware of the following important guidelines for helping us protect the environment and maintain a safe, clean and enjoyable community for both residents and guests. These guidelines are in effect year round. Thank you for your cooperation.
• The speed limit is 20 mph and no parking is allowed on Phillips Road (within the Association boundaries). Illegally parked vehicles may be towed at the owners’ expense.
• Watch out for children on bicycles. Children should not play in the road.
• No vehicles, including motorcycles and dune buggies are allowed on the beach ways, the beach or in the meadows.
• The beach grass is of vital importance to the area to prevent erosion. Playing or walking on the beach grass should be avoided.
• Dogs are restricted to the property of the home owner or must be leashed. This is a town ordinance. Owners are responsible for picking up after their dogs. Dog waste must not be left anywhere on the road, beach ways or beach.
• Outdoor fires (except gas grills) are prohibited unless the homeowner first notifies and obtains approval from the Town of Sandwich Fire Department.
• Please know when garbage is collected so as to avoid garbage accumulation. Note that pickup days in the summer are Wednesdays and Saturdays.
• The use of mobile homes, campers, etc. is not allowed without prior special permit from Sandwich town officials.
• Homeowners are responsible for informing their guests and/or renters and rental agents of these guidelines which conform with laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Town Of Sandwich.Proposed Revisions to Community Guidelines in REDCommunity Guidelines

DUTIES OF THE REPRESENTATIVES
Introduction
The officers of the Association include the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and ten Neighborhood Representatives. Together they make up the Executive Committee.
Neighborhood Representatives are the direct link between the membership and the Association. Each Representative acts as spokesperson for the members within his or her allotted district (section composed of adjacent property owners).
Representatives are elected or appointed to serve the members. Members should feel free to seek the assistance of their Representatives.
Specific Duties
• Call, in person, on all new residents, introduce themselves, offer assistance and promote the Community.
• Hand-deliver* to families in their districts, all Association communications that are issued for distribution to all members. These include Executive Committee communication and Entertainment Committee announcements.
• Attend all Executive Committee meetings. Inform the Committee of any suggestions for improvement, problems, complaints or questions that arise within their districts.
• Communicate the decisions of the Executive Committee to members of their districts.
• Sell Raffle tickets
* Return any undeliverable communications to Judi Rubin for mailing.
